Imphormal
Imphormal is the visionary solo music project of Mike DeHays, a virtuoso cellist and composer based out of the Michiana region (Indiana/Michigan border). Rejecting the traditional, rigid expectations of classical cello performance, DeHays leans heavily into the "informal" by weaponizing the electric cello. He seamlessly channels deep-seated human emotions into his work, generating cinematic, atmosphere-altering soundscapes that blur the lines between structured compositions and experimental acoustic-electric performance.
