Steve Talaga
With a professional career spanning over 40 years, Steve Talaga is an acclaimed pianist, composer, and arranger who stands as a titan of the Midwest jazz community. Named the West Michigan Jazz Society's 2008 Jazz Musician of the Year, Talaga has released eight solo albums, co-leads the renowned jazz quartet Mind’s Eye, and fronts his latest band, Lifeline (featuring his son, Stephen, on guitar). A Downbeat Magazine award winner and former Hope College professor, his elite musicianship has taken him from local universities to the global stage at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
